Storyline
The end of year performance by my drama students. An homage to George Orwell's work "1984".
This dystopian tragedy written by H.S. Fernandez tells the story of an average modern family, consumed by technology and blindly trusting of institutions, that suddenly find themselves in the midst of a sudden political shift into neofascism.
This play is a powerful and thought-provoking project that delves into themes of state-sponsored humiliation, political indoctrination, education by AI, brainwashing, and persecution. The project follows a fractured family as they navigate a brutal system where even the smallest mistake can have dire consequences, exploring the challenges they face and the lengths they must go to in order to survive.
